Pd is a real-time graphical programming environment for audio and
graphical processing. It resembles the Max/MSP system but is much
simpler and more portable; also Pd has two features not (yet) showing
up in Max/MSP: first, via Mark Dank's GEM package, Pd can be used
for simultaneous computer animation and computer audio. Second, an
experimental facility is provided for defining and accessing data
 structures.

The wait_on command allows shell scripts to access the facilities provided by
kqueue(3). This allows scripts to detect files being added to directories, data
appended to files and many other things - all without polling.

The BWidget Toolkit is a high-level Widget Set for Tcl/Tk built using
native Tcl/Tk 8.x namespaces.

The BWidgets have a professional look&feel as in other well known
Toolkits (Tix or Incr Widgets), but the concept is radically different
because everything is pure Tcl/Tk. No platform dependencies, and no
compiling required. The code is 100% Pure Tcl/Tk.
