* Mass-conversion to the USE_AUTOTOOLS New World Order. The code presentAde Lovett2005-11-151-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | in bsd.autotools.mk essentially makes this a no-op given that all the old variables set a USE_AUTOTOOLS_COMPAT variable, which is parsed in exactly the same way as USE_AUTOTOOLS itself. Moreover, USE_AUTOTOOLS has already been extensively tested by the GNOME team -- all GNOME 2.12.x ports use it. Preliminary documentation can be found at: http://people.FreeBSD.org/~ade/autotools.txt which is in the process of being SGMLized before introduction into the Porters Handbook. * Bayesian Noise Reduction is a statistical approach to evaluating coherence byPav Lucistnik2005-03-111-0/+35
instantiating a series of machine-generated contexts to serve as a means of contrast. This makes it possible to identify text that is out of context using a form of pattern consistency checking. BNR attempts to solve the problem commonly referred to as "Bayesian Noise" which, in its simplest definition, refers to irrelevant data present in a message being classified. Bayesian Noise Reduction dubs irrelevant text in order to provide cleaner classification and is implemented as a pre-filter to existing language classification functions.
