Note: this port sets RESTRICTED because the Neo-Geo BIOS
must be downloaded manually and can not be redistributed.
So ports/LEGAL should be updated. These are the file names:
"neo-geo.rom", "ng-lo.rom", "ng-sfix.rom", and "ng-sm1.rom".
These files are also listed in the "NGBIOS" variable in the
Makefile of the port.
GnGeo is a NeoGeo emulator for Linux (and maybe some other
UNIX). It use the following cpu core:
* The 68k core from the generator project by James Ponder.
* Starscream 680x0 emulation library by Neill Corlett
* Raze Z80 emulator by Richard Mitton.
* Z80 Mame core from the Mame project.
* YM2610 Mame core by Tatsuyuki Satoh.

P2000 Emulator
- P2000T or P2000M model (P2000M emulation is buggy)
- Support for 1 ROM cartridge
- User-definable amount of RAM
- One tape drive
- Sound through PC Speaker or SoundBlaster (MS-DOS version), or
USS(/Lite) /dev/dsp (Linux/SVGALib and Unix/X versions)
- SAA5050 character rounding emulated in high resolution mode
The tape files should be writable, otherwise the emulator won't load them.

GXemul is a free instruction-level machine emulator, emulating not only the
CPU, but also other hardware components, making it possible to use the emulator
to run unmodified operating systems such as NetBSD, OpenBSD, or Linux.
A few different machine types are emulated. The following machine types are
emulated well enough to run at least one "guest OS":
* DECstation 5000/200 ("3max"): serial controller (including keyboard and
mouse), ethernet, SCSI, and graphical framebuffers.
* Acer Pica-61 (an ARC machine): serial controller, "VGA" text console, and
SCSI.
* NEC MobilePro 770, 780, 800, and 880 (HPCmips machines): framebuffer,
keyboard, and a PCMCIA IDE controller.
* Cobalt: serial controller and PCI IDE.

on/for Linux originally but has already been ported successfully to other
operating systems. The program can easily be ported to all operating systems
supported by the SDL library.
In its current state, the emulator is highly compatible and uses a plugin
system. With the correct plugins ("correct" can be computer dependent), it
can achieve nearly perfect graphics and sound in many games.
