This makes it easier to do something like the following (which I do): # cd /usr/src # make obj depend (scrutinize make output) # make most # make mostinstall ...which will not confuse things by installing new libraries, /usr/share, games, gcc (two extra times), and so on. Obviously, if you do this, then you have to be careful to watch for changes in include files and make macros, and do the appropriate thing in those cases.
