Erwin fired up a ports build a couple of weeks ago and it seems the
following functions are not used by any of the 20k ports we have, which
makes me believe they don't have any purpose. Just remove them.

Although groff_mdoc(7) gives another impression, this is the ordering
most widely used and also required by mdocml/mandoc.
