* Remove WWW entries moved into port MakefilesStefan Eßer2022-09-071-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Commit b7f05445c00f has added WWW entries to port Makefiles based on WWW: lines in pkg-descr files. This commit removes the WWW: lines of moved-over URLs from these pkg-descr files. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)
* Add WWW entries to port MakefilesStefan Eßer2022-09-071-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It has been common practice to have one or more URLs at the end of the ports' pkg-descr files, one per line and prefixed with "WWW:". These URLs should point at a project website or other relevant resources. Access to these URLs required processing of the pkg-descr files, and they have often become stale over time. If more than one such URL was present in a pkg-descr file, only the first one was tarnsfered into the port INDEX, but for many ports only the last line did contain the port specific URL to further information. There have been several proposals to make a project URL available as a macro in the ports' Makefiles, over time. This commit implements such a proposal and moves one of the WWW: entries of each pkg-descr file into the respective port's Makefile. A heuristic attempts to identify the most relevant URL in case there is more than one WWW: entry in some pkg-descr file. URLs that are not moved into the Makefile are prefixed with "See also:" instead of "WWW:" in the pkg-descr files in order to preserve them. There are 1256 ports that had no WWW: entries in pkg-descr files. These ports will not be touched in this commit. The portlint port has been adjusted to expect a WWW entry in each port Makefile, and to flag any remaining "WWW:" lines in pkg-descr files as deprecated. Approved by: portmgr (tcberner)

* x11/libxcb: Re-add runtime dependency on pthread-stubsNiclas Zeising2020-09-131-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Re-add the runtime dependency on pthread-stubs, that was dropped in the update to 1.14. Things linking against libxcb needs it as well, and since it was pulled in from here, keep doing that. In the future, the dependency on pthread-stubs mabye should be moved to the ports that actually need it, but keep the status quo for now. Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=548493

Clean up the makefile: * Remove the dependency on check and libxslt, they are only needed for tests which aren't built and installed anyway. * No need to use gmake * Correct configure options * Have libxcb use pkgconfig to figure out cflags and ldflags, instead of hardcoding some cflags and ldflags in the Makefile. * Support LIBS like LDFLAGS.Tijl Coosemans2014-06-111-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | - Add LIBS="${LIBS}" to MAKE_ENV and CONFIGURE_ENV. - Add an option helper for LIBS. - Adjust all ports that already use LIBS. Also remove references to PTHREAD_CFLAGS and PTHREAD_LIBS while here. - Some ports did not support having a LIBS environment variable and required additional patches. Somewhat simplified a linker command line looks like: ${CC} ${src_LDFLAGS} ${LDFLAGS} ${src_LIBS} ${LIBS} where src_LDFLAGS and src_LIBS are controlled by upstream and LDFLAGS and LIBS can be controlled by us. If possible -L and -l flags need to be added to LIBS to make sure they appear after any -L and -l flags set by upstream. Many ports currently add -L${LOCALBASE}/lib to LDFLAGS but this may appear too early on the command line causing installed libraries to be linked in instead of freshly built ones. Additional changes: benchmarks/netio: Replace WITH_IPV6 with an IPV6 option. comms/gnokii: Replace some patches with USES=pathfix. Also remove -fPIC. graphics/gimageview: USES=libtool and install desktop file in DESKTOPDIR. graphics/visionworkbench: Remove FreeBSD 7 support. multimedia/libmovtar: New LIB_DEPENDS syntax. multimedia/opencinematools: Use standard do-build. net/siproxd: USES=libtool:keepla (port actually needs .la files for plugins) net-mgmt/nagios: Remove -fPIC. net-mgmt/nagios4: Remove -fPIC. print/cups-base: Only add -lssp_nonshared on i386 and OSVERSION < 1000036. security/p11-kit: Replace PTHREAD_LIBS in CONFIGURE_ENV with ac_cv_func_pthread_mutexattr_init=no in CONFIGURE_ARGS. This skips a test in configure that falsely detects pthread_mutexattr_init in our libc. sysutils/dar: Fix iconv detection. x11/rxvt-unicode: Remove -lstdc++ and patch configure to remove a FreeBSD hack and use $CXX as linker as on other platforms. * When linking a library libA with a library libB using libtool, if libB.laTijl Coosemans2014-04-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | exists, libtool will add all libraries libB.la refers to (dependency_libs field) to the linker command line and store them in the dependency_libs field of libA.la. So everything that subsequently links with libA will also link to these extra libraries. This causes too much overlinking. This commit modifies Mk/Uses/libtool.mk so it empties the dependency_libs field in .la libraries during staging. However, because .la libraries have very limited use when dependency_libs is empty it makes sense to completely remove them during staging. So with this commit USES=libtool is modified to remove .la libraries and a new form (USES=libtool:keepla) is introduced in case they need to be kept (dependency_libs is still emptied). PORTREVISION is bumped on all ports with USES=libtool that install .la libraries. Most ports are also changed to add :keepla because .la libraries have to be kept around as long as there are dependent ports with .la libraries that refer to them in their dependency_libs field. In most cases :keepla can be removed again as soon as all dependent ports that install .la libraries have some form of USES=libtool added to their Makefile. It is still possible to use the old stack by specifying WITHOUT_NEW_XORG in /etc/make.conf . FreeBSD 8-STABLE and released versions of FreeBSD still use the old version. A package repository with binary packages for new xorg will be available soon. This patch also contains updates of libxcb and related ports, pixman, as well as some drivers and utilities. Bump portrevisions for xf86-* ports, as well as virtualbox-ose-additions due to xserver version change. Apart from these updates, the way shared libraries are handled has been changed for all xorg ports, as well as libxml2 and freetype, which means ltverhack is gone and as a consequence shared libraries have been bumped. The plan is that this change will make library bumps less likely in the future. All affected ports have had their portrevisions bumped as a consequence of this. * - Please welcome Xorg 7.5.2Martin Wilke2012-04-211-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Xorg Team is pleased to announce the next round of Xorg updates. The team created a new flag called WITH_NEW_XORG that users can include in /etc/make.conf. This was created for the intel KMS work being done althouthough It probably works for other chips. Unfortunately, the intel KMS driver will only work on FreeBSD 9(RELENG|STABLE) or 10/HEAD users. Older version of FreeBSD will not be supported. Intel users will need to patch their source manually with Konstantin?s KMS kernel patch to get the newer chips to work. Please carefully read UPDATING entry. Changes: - libdrm 2.4.31 (including KMS support) - mesa 7.11.2 - xorg-server 1.10.6 - a lot of new Graphic Drivers. I would like to thank: Koop Mast Eitan Adler Niclas Zeising and all helpers and testers from x11@. Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=295195
