* lib: Remove ancient SCCS tags.Warner Losh2023-11-271-2/+0
| | | | | | | | Remove ancient SCCS tags from the tree, automated scripting, with two minor fixup to keep things compiling. All the common forms in the tree were removed with a perl script. Sponsored by: Netflix
* Remove $FreeBSD$: one-line nroff patternWarner Losh2023-08-161-1/+0
| | | | Remove /^\.\\"\s*\$FreeBSD\$$\n/
* regex(3): belatedly document REG_POSIX from r363734Kyle Evans2020-08-041-1/+12
| | | | | | | | My original patch included this documented, but it appears that I failed to include the manpage update. Do so now. Notes: svn path=/head/; revision=363817
* Renumber copyright clause 4Warner Losh2017-02-281-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Renumber cluase 4 to 3, per what everybody else did when BSD granted them permission to remove clause 3. My insistance on keeping the same numbering for legal reasons is too pedantic, so give up on that point. * libc: regexec(3) adjustment.Pedro F. Giffuni2016-05-251-22/+48
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change the behavior of when REG_STARTEND is combined with REG_NOTBOL. From the original posting[1]: "Enable the assumption that pmatch[0].rm_so is a continuation offset to a string and allows us to do a proper assessment of the character in regards to it's word position ('^' or '\<'), without risking going into unallocated memory." This change makes us similar to how glibc handles REG_STARTEND | REG_NOTBOL, and is closely related to a soon-to-land fix to sed. Special thanks to Martijn van Duren and Ingo Schwarze for working out some consistent behaviour. | | | | | | | | | | Avoid using parenthesis enclosure macros (.Pq and .Po/.Pc) with plain text. Not only this slows down the mdoc(7) processing significantly, but it also has an undesired (in this case) effect of disabling hyphenation within the entire enclosed block.
